This is just some of the things that have been donated for our Christmas appeal. We passed on some of things to @papercupprojectlpl when I did outreach a couple of weeks ago, the team bumped into Dave and Shirl from Gogglebox, we were all buzzing. We’ll be passing on more in the next couple of weeks. We’re still taking donations for the food bank and selection boxes for Paper Cup Project. We feel very fortunate to be inside in this weather with food on our plates, so if you are in a position to help please consider it. We cannot thank you all for the support you have shown. Two of my (Braidy) closest friends got married over the weekend. I made their cake as a gift but the catch was I was to have free reign. They’d had to cancel twice due to Coronavirus and with this in mind I decided to create them this cake. I wanted to do something I’d never done before, so I made them three cakes. One cake for the first cancelled date, the second cake for the second cancelled date and the third cake for the actual wedding date. I handmade the board, accented it with a white hoop and flowers and popped fairy lights underneath. I am totally in love with it. I’d love to make more like this. Layers were chocolate cherry, salted caramel, Biscoff and winter spice. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who commented and shared our plans to open on Christmas Day. We’ve been inundated with messages of people wanting to donate so here’s what we’re asking.

We’re asking for small selection boxes/Chocolate Oranges/small boxes of chocolates etc… for the outreach that the amazing @papercupprojectlpl do for the homeless. I’d you’re not familiar with them please check out the vital work they do.

We also know these last couple of years have had huge impacts on people’s finances and more people have had to rely on the food bank for help, so we’re asking for food donations for local food banks. You can either pop by the shop with donations and we’ll drop them off for you or use your supermarkets food bank point.

We know it’s not even been Halloween yet but we’re getting organised. We believe that nobody should feel alone on Christmas Day so we’ll be opening from 10.30am until 1pm for people to drop in.
